Wyatt Johnston is the only Dallas Stars player other than Mikko Rantanen to score a goal in the last 10 periods. Rantanen has the other six. While that's an incredibly impressive goal haul from the Conn Smythe Trophy odds front-runner, it puts the rest of the team's struggles into focus. 

They are playing at home, which should help. However, the Winnipeg Jets played their best and most complete postseason game in the 4-0 Game 2 triumph. Connor Hellebuyck easily enjoyed his best outing of the postseason, securing his first playoff shutout since 2021 thanks to 2.07 goals saved above expected. 

The Jets' Game 7 Houdini act against St. Louis appears to have settled Hellebuyck, who will want to make the most of his get-out-of-jail-free card. He should be oozing confidence for Game 3, which doesn't bode well for a Stars offensive contingent who, excluding Rantanen, are holding their sticks too tight.  

Winnipeg will look to employ its usual defense-first game plan, especially in Dallas. With those things in mind, I'm backing the Under.
